First day on my masters thesis

Today I had my first day on my master’s thesis. Most of the day has been spent setting up my computer, also updating my dotfiles repository.

I’m currently looking into Kubernetes, how to set it up etc. I have never used Kubernetes in the past, so there is a lot to learn.

My master’s thesis concerns anomaly detection within container clusters, and Kubernetes is a container cluster manager. Some work on anomaly detection in Kubernetes has already been done as a summer project here at Elastisys, so I guess I’ll spend tomorrow trying to replicate their work which can be found here and here.

I’ll also spend tomorrow reading some research literature about anomaly detection, one hour or so.
